Thursday 7th April 2005 The Intermediate team has enjoyed mixed success in the league to date. On Easter Sunday they enjoyed a comfortable victory over Sarsfields with scores coming from Orla Ryan, Ursula Whiriskey, Denise Gilligan and Amy Flaherty. Final Score: Sarsfields 1:2 Craughwell 4:4. Last Saturday however, newly relegated Shamrocks had the upper hand over the home side on a scoreline off Craughwell 1:2 Shamrocks 1:10. The next league game sees Craughwell take on Cappataggle on Saturday 17th April.

The U-14s have enjoyed winning ways having now won all four group games. On Easter Monday, they defeated St. Thomas’ by 5:2 to 1:1. Last Saturday they beat Skehana 4:2 to 1:0 and followed this by traveling to Kinvara on Monday where, in difficult weather conditions, they defeated the home side 4:4 to 0:0. Victory in their final group game against Mountbellew on Saturday will see them qualify for the semi-finals.

Best of luck to Craughwell players Rachel Kennedy, Deirdre Ryan, Audrey Slevin, Jacqueline Greene, Rachel Kenny and Raychel Kelly who represent Presentation College Athenry in the All Ireland Junior “A” Schools Final against Magharafelt of Derry in Ratoath this Saturday.
